La novela policíaca y Francisco García Pavón
Abstract
Durante las tres últimas décadas, varios críticos literarios, entre los que se encuentran José Colmeiro, Patricia Hart, Ricardo Landeira y Salvador Vázquez de Parga, le han otorgado a la novela policíaca española el lugar que le corresponde, tanto dentro de la literatura universal, como dentro del género novelesco. De estos críticos, Colmeiro, Hart y Landeira apuntan al Duque de Rivas como el primer autor que presenta en 1835 algunos de los principales postulados de la literatura policíaca al publicar "Una antigualla de Sevilla". Estos estudiosos adscriben obras como "Un testigo de bronce" (1845) de José Zorrilla, El clavo (1853) de Pedro Antonio de Alarcon, El crimen de la calle Fuencarral (1888) de Benito Pérez Galdós y La gota de sangre (1911) de Emilia Pardo Bazán dentro de la vertiente que hizo surgir este tipo de novela en Espana. Con estas contribuciones, se niegan las muchas e infundadas sentencias que hay en tomo a la inexistencia de este genero durante el siglo XIX español.
