El padre simbólico y el padre obsceno en El lugar sin límites de José Donoso
Abstract
El lugar sin límites (1966) de José Donoso es una novela mítica ya que todo lo que ocurre en la Estacion el Olivo, un pueblo fundado por don Alejo, se refiere a algo masque a un relato novelístico para desarrollarse mediante la función de un mito clásico. Los articulos como "Mito y realidad en El lugar sin límites de Jose Donoso" (1975) de Victorio Agüera y "La metafora de don Alejo/ Dios en El lugar sin límites'' (1981) de Vicente Urbistondo analizan la novela desde el punto de vista de la Biblia comparando a don Alejo con Dios y a la muerte del personaje con la caída de los seres humanos desde el paraíso terrenal. Ambos trabajos concluyen que el final de la novela simboliza la desaparición de Dios en el mundo moderno.
