Lenguaje y frontera: El sujeto liminal en "Sabaditos en la noche" de Luis Humberto Crosthwaite
Abstract
La frontera en nuestro tiempo tiene, por un lado, la cualidad de delinear y separar, mientras que por el otro, actúa como sitio de contacto de relaciones de tipo social, étnico, religioso, político, económico y cultural. El análisis de la idea actual de frontera permite distintos acercamientos a la comprensión de los límites, el contexto en el que se producen y las perspectivas de quienes tienen la tarea de preservarlos. En tanto . la frontera es indisociable del espacio, es decir, del entomo físico, histórico y social en el cual se concibe, es elemento esencial de una teoría del espacio, más aún, de una teoría del territorio. El territorio es, según Claude Raffestin, "un espacio apropiado, ocupado y dominado por un grupo social para asegurar su reproducción y satisfacer sus necesidades vitales, que pueden ser materiales o simbólicas" (1993). A pesar de su estabilidad física, el territorio no es un espacio fijo, sino el producto de variados procesos de transformación en el tiempo. Asi, el territorio es, en un primer momento, lugar de inscripción social y una manera de organizar el espacio físico por los grupos sociales.
