Guamán Poma de Ayala y la memoria ejemplar en su Nueva corónica y buen gobierno
Abstract
Teniendo en cuenta el contexto en el que Guamán Poma produce su crónica, el presente trabajo propone estudiar el uso que el autor andino hace de la memoria a partir del concepto de división bipartita que Tzvetan Todorov propone en su obra Los abusos de la memoria, en donde él distingue entre memoria literal, entendida como aquélla que tiene como fin el recuerdo de los sufrimientos pasados y, memoria ejemplar, que, por el contrario, pretende sacar una lección del pasado para aplicarse al presente.
Con el fin de examinar el concepto de memoria, se analiza la percepción de los males sufridos por los indígenas andinos que Guamán Poma tiene de su momento histórico y cuál ha sido el devenir de su pueblo según sus propias palabras. Además se analiza la retórica que utiliza Guamán Poma para representar dichos eventos negativos a sus lectores. En seguida, se estudia como se auto-representa Guamán Poma dentro del texto y el uso de la "memoria" que hace en los siguientes capítulos de su Nueva corónica y buen gobierno.
