Paradojas: Entre el lenguaje y la ciencia
Abstract
Como matemático, debería comenzar dando una definición de paradoja, probando la existencia de las mismas y, dado que no será posible demostrar su unicidad, deberia dar una clasificación.
Etimológicamente, paradoja significa contrario a la opinion o, lo que es lo mismo, contrario a la opinión recibida y común. Se puede definir paradoja como una idea extraña, opuesta a lo que se considera verdadero o a la opinión general.
No obstante, ésta es una de esas definiciones en las que no nos hacemos una idea muy exacta del objeto definido hasta toparnos con algunos ejemplos que la clarifiquen. Por esto, vamos a hacer un recorrido por la historia de la Matemética (y de la Filosofía y de la Ciencia...), descubriendo cómo han surgido las diferentes paradojas existentes y cuáles han sido sus efectos.
