No pasó nada de Antonio Skármeta:Exilio, identidad y adaptaciones de un texto
Abstract
La literatura chilena de los años setenta y ochenta se vio confrontada a dos nuevas y contradictorias realidades político-sociales que marcaron su desarrollo: por un lado, la subida al poder del socialista Salvador Allende y, por el otro, la dictadura del General Augusto Pinochet que siguió al brutal derrocamiento del primero. Un ejemplo de la narrativa que se produjo frente a estas circunstancias es No pasó nada (1980), de Antonio Skármeta, una novela corta sobre el momento de pasaje de un niño a la adolescencia durante el tiempo en que vivía el exilio en Berlín con su familia. El autor conformó la obra como un Bildungsroman porque esto le permitió plantear - aunque someramente - algunas probleméticas de Chile bajo el régimen militar y la vida de los exiliados políticos desde el punto de vista de un chico sin compromisos político-sociales propios, lo que da pie a que el lector juegue con las posibles interpretaciones del relato y de su final, que parece optimista, pero que puede tener tintes irónicos, como se verá mas adelante.
