El espectáculo delirante en Los locos de Valencia
Abstract
A primera vista Los locos de Valencia es un espectáculo divertido en el que los personajes principales se hacen pasar por locos. La comedia, que empieza con un total desorden, termina con el mundo perfecto en el que todo se soluciona. La locura no se percibe como una patología sino como algo pasajero que con el tiempo desaparece. Un mundo utópico, sí, pero con una muerte de trasfondo. En un ambiente de total teatralidad, los personajes se van refugiando en el mundo modélico del manicomio, que nos recuerda a la isla de Tomás Moro y a la abadia de Thelema en el Gargantúa de Rabelais. A través de la locura, el metateatro y la utopía pretendo descubrir la ambigüedad de una comedia "graciosa" del primer Lope. Este articulo propone una lectura alternativa, donde el mundo perfecto se sitúa dentro de un manicomio y los personajes están en la frontera entre la locura y la cordura.Downloads
