Explorando la subjetividad en La última noche que pasé contigo de Mayra Montero
Abstract
Hay en La ultima noche que pase contigo (1991), novela de Mayra Montero, una exploración sumamente llamativa de la psiquis y la subjetividad del individuo. Montero se aventura por los intersticios mentales de los personajes, quienes, por medio de la sexualidad y la imaginación se adentran en la oscuridad de "lo prohibido" y experimentan situaciones que en sus vidas ante la sociedad serían impensables. Freud llamó a este fenómeno el "unconscious," y explica: Se tiene esto porque uno desea cosas que cree que no debería. Uno no puede admitir-incluso para uno mismcr-que desea ciertas cosas porque ha aprendido en algún momento (generalmente en la infancia) que esas cosas que uno desea son malas. Como resultado, se reprime ese deseo. Uno lo ignora e incluso lo niega, pero no desaparece. Esta ahí en el "unconscious" esperando una oportunidad de reaparecer. Esto es, en palabras de Jacques Lacan, el sujeto en proceso mental capaz de ser otro, en ciertas circunstancias podriamos añadir, del que en realidad es.
