El Día de la Bandera & No somos nada
Abstract
Se veía cabizbajo, ensimismado, como si de repente le hubiera entrado el autismo. Parecía una efigie del Cuahutemoc ese que normalmente se usa para las estatuas de bronce de las premiaciones deportivas. Hacía rato que no movia ni un ápice su postura sentado en el corredor de la casa. No respondía al saludo de los vecinos que al pasar por enfrente de la casa se dirigían a él, aquel personaje que les había ayudado en diferentes menesteres para aclimatarse a la nueva vida de inmigrantes. Y es que la vida en los Estados Unidos era tan distinta de la de los diversos lugares de origen que, precisamente, la gente como don Serapio Contreras era la que mediaba entre culturas.
