Desolación, desconsuelo y silencio en "Luvina" de Juan Rulfo

Remontandonos un poco a los inicios de la critica en tomo a la obra del escritor mexicano Juan Rulfo encontramos que el estudioso Mexico-americano Luis Leal, uno de los investigadores del cuento como genero mas destacados, caracterizio "Luvina" como un cuento de ambiente. Del mismo modo Luis Ortega, siguiendo a Leal, se refiere a este como un cuento donde las descripciones ceden paso a la atmosfera. Es decir que en el relato en cuestion se privilegia el escenario en el que se desenvuelven los personajes y estos pasan a segundo termino. Otros
estudiosos han convalidado la forma en que los personajes se desvanecen durante el transcurso de la narracion. Inclusive si se piensa en el personaje central, a su vez narrador en primera persona, quien a traves de su propio relato se desplaza del centro de atenci6n hacia los margenes hasta que su espacio es ocupado por la desolaci6n, el desconsuelo y el silencio. Tales
sentimientos son impuestos en "Luvina" por los elementos naturales, especialmente el aire, que va ganando en presencia y termina seiioreando en el desarrollo del relato.
