Historia o histeria: reconstruccion del passado o desacralizacion de la memoria en Alex de la Iglesia Y Benjamin Prado
Abstract
Uno de los retos mas complejos que ha enfrentado la produccion cultural reciente en Espana al aproximarse a la reconstruccion colectiva del pasado ha sido el de intentar conciliar en el ambito discursivo la tension entre mito, ficcion y realidad. En el contexto de una sociedad que continuamente se ha alineado con la teleologia del progreso europeo, la tension entre la necesidad de romper con el pasado para afrontar el futuro y la voluntad de definir el presente en terminos de dicho pasado ha dado paso a un continuo cuestionamiento de la·
identidad nacional. En la medida en que la Guerra Civil, los diferentes espacios historicos que la precedieron (Segunda Republica) y los mecanismos sociales y politicos a los que dio paso (Dictadura y Transicion a la democracia) se convirtieron en referentes miticos capaces de explicar o justificar la realidad del pais, esta oscilacion entre recuperacion de la memoria historica y obliteracion del pasado ha servido de base a los mas diversos experimentos narrativos. 1 Este articulo se detiene en dos de las orientaciones que ha tornado este devenir
cultural en la actualidad, para mostrar la forma en que su aproximacion a la reconstruccion del pasado termina entorpeciendo el comentario critico que hacen de la artificialidad historica y el caracter subjetivo de la memoria.
